Taizé service at All Hallows
A weekly Taizé service on
Wednesdays at 6pm - this meditative candlelit service of song and prayer is the
perfect time in the middle of a busy week to relax, reflect and rest in
God.
Guided Walks
We are continuing our successful series of guided walks around
different aspects of the City, beginning and ending at All Hallows. Led by
qualified and experienced Blue Badge guides, the walks cost £6 per
person - no need to book, just turn up on the day.
- 22 August, 2pm: "Mincing, Seething & Staining: Lanes & Alleyways
of the City"
- 12 September, 11am: "I Spy Strangers - Foreign Presences in the Square
Mile"
- 27 September, 11am: "Cry me a River"
Musical Tuesdays in September
All Hallows is holding a season of Lunchtime Concerts on Tuesdays during
September. The performances are from 1.10-2.00pm, and admission is free. Do come
along and enjoy a little musical interlude in your day.

16 September - The Gibbs Trio (violins and viola)
23 September - The Oberlin Duo (violins)

Foundations
in Faith - Sunday 7 September at 9.30am
Join
us for this monthly adult study period as we continue thinking about Growing in
the Scriptures. We will meet at 9.30am in the Porch Room (entrance on the corner
of the church by the car park).
Holy
City - Sunday 7 September, 6.30pm
Join us for the first of our
new monthly Holy City services. Organised in partnership with the Wild Goose
Resource Group in Glasgow it focuses on realities of choice, lifestyle, personal
agendas and the relevance of faith in the contemporary world. It is a time and
place for certainty and doubt, praising and questioning God, an occasion to
rediscover the value of conversation and debate, to savour silence and
scripture, to celebrate song and symbol. All welcome.
Gala Dinner: 'Light up All Hallows' - Wednesday 17 September
The Friends of All Hallows are holding fundraising Gala Dinner in September
to raise money for the upgrading of the lighting system in the church. The
evening will consist of a 3-course dinner with entertainment, a raffle and prize
draw. Tickets are available from the parish office, price £35 each (or £25 to
Friends of All Hallows).
Gordon Phillips Memorial Recital - Saturday 11 October, 3pm
The 17th annual recital in memory of Gordon Phillips (Organist of All
Hallows 1956-1991) will be given by David Cook. The programme includes works by
Gordon Phillips, John Stanley, Bach and Messiaen. Admission free - all welcome.
