KNOLLYS ROSE CEREMONY

KNOLLYS ROSE CEREMONY
Monday 17 June, 11 am

The Knollys Rose Ceremony is organised annually by the Company of Watermen and Lightermen of the River Thames. In payment of an historic 'rose rent' owed to the City of London, a single red rose will be plucked and taken to Mansion House on the altar cushion of All Hallows, where it is presented to the Lord Mayor.

Entry to Mansion House is by invitation only, but all are welcome to watch the cutting of the rose in Seething Lane Gardens, and to follow the procession through the City.
